Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Best Photography Spot

Shirakawago

Shirakawago is located near the Shokawa River in the remote mountains that span from Gifu to Toyama Prefectures. Declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1995, it is famous for Gassho Zukuri (traditional farmhouses with thatched roofs), some of which are more than 250 years old.
Ogi-machi, Shirakawago’s largest village and main attraction, makes a good day trip from Takayama or a stop on the bus journey between Takayama and Kanazawa. The best way to experience the town, however, is to stay overnight at one of the farmhouses, many of which now serve as minshuku.

If you come to Takayama, the place to go is Shirakawago.
Shirakawago will hold the light up event which has good atmosphere in January and February every year, and people from all over the world wish to join the event.
Today, we would like to introduce the photogenic spot which is known to those in the know. After reading this article, you will be able to take a picture as a photographer.
